Contact Hoosier Geek about Winery Passport
Planned email: support@hoosiergeek.dev
When support opens, include your Android version, Winery Passport app version, what you expected, what happened, and the steps that reproduce the problem. Do not send your ZIP backup, private photos, precise location, passwords, or other sensitive information unless a secure support process specifically asks for it.
Common questions
Why can’t the app find the winery I’m visiting?
Nearby suggestions depend on location permission, a usable location fix, an internet connection, and available OpenStreetMap place data. Enter the place name manually when a suggestion is missing or wrong.
Does Winery Passport save my GPS coordinates?
No. The app can use current coordinates to request nearby place names, but its passport database stores the selected place name rather than latitude or longitude.
Do I need an account?
No. Winery Passport has no account or cloud-sync system. Your passport lives on your device unless you create and move a ZIP backup.
Where are my photos?
Photos selected for a stamp are copied into Winery Passport’s app-private storage. They are included when you create a ZIP backup.
How do I remove a visit?
Open the stamp, choose Delete, and confirm the removal. To remove all local app data, follow the Winery Passport data-deletion instructions.
Backup and restore
Create a backup
- Open Winery Passport.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Export backup.
- Select a safe destination for the ZIP file.
Restore a backup
- Open Settings and choose Import backup.
- Select a Winery Passport ZIP backup.
- Review the available replace or merge choice carefully.
A manually exported backup is your responsibility once saved outside the app. Automatic Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled.
Privacy and deletion
Read the Winery Passport privacy policy for the complete data-handling explanation. Winery Passport has no account to delete and no Hoosier Geek cloud copy of your passport. You can delete local records in the app or clear all app data through Android settings.
